such a wonderful dance, the whole world became amazed.
Not only the whole world, but even Jagannatha became amazed.

Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja

Jagannath Puri Dhama is known as Sri Ksetra. Sri Devi is the svarupa-sakti, Krishna’s internal potency. Therefore, that dhama which is glorified by the presence of the sri-sakti is known as Sri Ksetra. ‘Sri’ means sarva laksmimayi amsini radhika, Srimati Radhika, who is the source of all saktis. Those who are followers or devotees of madhurya-rasa can see that Sri Ksetra is the ksetra in which Radharani’s madhurya rasa is manifested. Only such madhurya-rasa bhaktas can see it, others cannot. That is why Jagannatha Puri is known as Sri Ksetra.

Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja speaks on the significance of the holy dhama of Sri Ksetra and gives a description of Sri Jagannatha Puri and the gateway to Sri Ksetra as Bhubaneswar, Orissa.

So by associating with a sadhu, pure devotee, you will get this opportunity of hearing the Srimad Bhagavatam. By hearing Srimad Bhagavatam one can develop bhakti unto Krsna. It must be a daily affair, daily.

A collection of prayers, stories and lectures glorifying the Srimad Bhagavatam. Every day before class, Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja would gloryify the Srimad Bhagavatam by reciting the Srimad Bhagavatam invocation prayers- found here.

Why we will worship Tulasi? Because if Tulasi Devi showers mercy then it will be possible to enter into madhurya-rasa, otherwise it is not possible. Mahaprabhu gives the highest rasa, madhurya-rasa.. Seva-adhikara diye koro nija dasi. This is a prayer for the highest thing, the last rasa, a prayer for madhurya-rasa. Do you understand? This desire we have and if you deserve, if you’re so anxious... so eager, always offering prayers, if Tulasi Devi will fulfill your desire, then your rasa will be changed from dasya, sakhya, vatsalya to madhurya.

In this essay, compiled as a collection from various lectures, Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja speaks on the significance of worshipping Srimati Tulasi Devi in light of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's teachings and how Srila Prabhupada established the final and highest conclusion.
